Quality as a Gesture
A handcrafted sneaker cannot be rushed. Every detail—a stitch, a fold, a finish—comes from the experience of skilled hands that have learned a craft and continue to refine it over time.
For this reason, our footwear factory has created an in-house training academy where artisans are continuously trained and encouraged to develop their skills. Acanto’s creators are also founding members of the Politecnico del Made in Italy, the school that trains technical and managerial professionals for the fashion industry and has contributed to making Salento Europe’s leading hub for luxury sneaker production.
Handmade, One Pair at a Time
Our shoes do not follow a standardised production process. They pass from one person to another through a journey of choices, adjustments and small refinements that make every pair unique.
We work with nappa leather, suede, leather, cotton and canvas, using water-based adhesives and naturally tanned leathers, combined with flexible rubber soles. All of this is powered by the sun, as our footwear factory generates the electricity it uses through its own photovoltaic system.
